BenQ gains ground in the Lighthouse System Index

Lighthouse Systems Index - September 2008BenQ is the biggest mover this month with a gain of 7 positions. The Taiwanese electronics giant, which has recently introduced new LCD display technology with claims of saving more energy, is now ranked 29th in the Lighthouse Systems Index. Oce has moved up 5 positions and is now ranked 23rd this month. It has announced the acquisition of Epcot to strengthen its position in Denmark and Sweden and is the only firm to move into the top 25 this month.

In the top 10 firms the major gainer is Toshiba. The firm has recently launched the largest density embedded NAND flash memory for digital consumer products helping it move up 2 positions. Xerox, which has benefited from recognition by VARBusiness magazine for its workgroup color printers, has also gone up 3 positions.

LG is the firm with the biggest drop this month in our Systems Index. The firm has dropped down 5 positions this month and is now ranked 19th. EMC which has just introduced a new storage system named Celerra NX4 has failed to get analysts talking about it as reflected by its ranking having declined 2 positions.
