Unisys moves up in the Lighthouse Services Index

Lighthouse Services Index - March 2009The most high profile gainer this month is Unisys which has moved to the 5th spot this month. The firm has been awarded CMMI certifications at four software development and applications services support facilities and an IDC study has rated it as one of the top BPO vendor. BearingPoint has also moved up 4 positions this month. The gain is anything but good news as it reflects analyst focus due to the Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing by the firm.

ACS which has been rated positively by Gartner for its Finance & Accounting BPO services has also moved up 7 positions and is ranked 22 this month. Verisign, which has announced a managed PKI service called “VeriSign Non-Federal Shared Service Provider (SSP) PKI”, has also gone up 6 positions. KPMG which has won the “Best Big Company to Work For” award for the third time is also up 2 positions and along with ACS and Verisign it is one of the new entrant to the top 25 this month.

The biggest drop this month is in the ranking of Dimension Data which had managed to get into the top 25 last month. The firm has failed to get a single mention by Gartner or IDC in February and has dropped down 8 positions. TietoEnator is also down 6 positions after an improvement in its ranking last month. Dimension Data, TietoEnator and Getronics are the three firms that have dropped out of the top 25 this month.
