The biggest gainer this month is Siemens Communications(not shown in the image on right) which has jumped up a massive 29 positions this month. The firm, which was converted into a joint venture of Siemens and the Gores Group last year, has recently announced new wireless products with Enterasys(another Gores Group company) and is ranked 33 this month. Enterasys is also up 5 positions this month.
The most high profile gainer this month is Nortel which is up 2 positions. The firm has been ranked as the worldwide leader in the carrier softswitch market by Dell’Oro Group and Infonetics Research and is ranked 6th this month. Huawei which won three awards at the 2009 Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific ICT Awards is also up 3 positions and is ranked 12th this month. Brocade which is up 1 position is the only firm to enter the top 25 this month.
The biggest drop is in the ranking of Telecom Italia which is down 5 positions this month and ranked 35. Telefonica has announced solid performance with net profit growing by 9.8% in first quarter of 2009 but has still gone down 4 positions. It is the only firm to drop out of the top 25 this month.
