SanDisk moves up in the Lighthouse Systems Index

Lighthouse Systems Index October 2009The top gainer in the October edition of the Lighthouse Systems Index is SanDisk. SanDisk has announced new flash memory cards targetting gamers and has moved up 7 spots. Ricoh which has announced a new manufacturing plant in Thailand also moved up 3 spots. NetApp also moved up 3 positions to the 17th spot. Focus on NetApp’s new midmarket storage products and price reduction on its existing products have helped the firm improve its analyst score in October.

The biggest drop is in the ranking of BenQ which dropped down in October. The firm announced new LED displays but this has not helped it to maintain its position and it dropped down 5 spots. Samsung which annouonced a new 640GB hard drive also slipped down 2 positions in October to the 6th spot. There were no new entrants or dropouts from the top 25 in October.
