Saying farewell to David Bradshaw

A funeral and celebration for David Bradshaw (shown left in this 2000 Ovum awayday photo, arm raised, with me and other colleagues) is to take place at West Norwood Crematorium, London SE27 at 2.45pm on Tuesday 23rd August and after at the Amba Hotel above London’s Charing Cross Station, on the Strand. David considered that that Ovum in that incarnation was a great and special place to work. He looked back on those days with great fondness.

As at IDC, where he later led its European cloud research, David’s former Ovum colleagues remember him clearly. “David was a big presence in Ovum – always up for a discussion and never short of opinion” wrote Pauline MacLeod  in a forum for alumni. Julian Hewett, who recruited David to Ovum in about 1990, said he “will always remember working closely with him in his early years. He was never short of a robust/lateral opinion, had a great sense of humour, and was good fun to work with. It’s terrible that he has departed so young.”

If you plan to go to the hotel afterwards, please email Andy ([email protected]) and let him know.
