Informatica leaps up in the Lighthouse Software Index

Lighthouse Software Index - March 2009Informatica is the star performer this month as it jumps up an astonishing 19 positions this month. The firm’s score in the index has more than doubled this month as analysts focus on its acquisition of Applimation. The jump has also helped Informatica gain an entry in the top 25 this month. Open source database vendor mySQL has also improved its ranking by 9 positions and has also managed to get into the top 25 this month. Its profile has continued to improve thanks to its adoption by leading organizations around the world for large scale deployments. Sage has also got into the top 25 by moving up 3 positions this month.

Sterling Commerce which has been awarded the Excellence in Industry Solutions Award for Financial Services by the China Computer World Media Group is the biggest gainer this month. It has moved up 22 positions and is now ranked at the 37th spot.

Agresso is one of the top losers this month. The firm has announced encouraging financial results but this has not helped it to maintain its position this month and it has dropped down by 12 positions. Hyperion which has been acquired by Oracle continues to slide down and has dropped out of the top 25 this month. Other firms to drop out of the top 25 this month are IFS and McAfee.
