QAD gains in the Lighthouse Software Index

Lighthouse Software Index - November 2008QAD is the biggest gainer in this month’s edition of the Lighthouse Software Index. The firm is up 17 positions this month and has just  announced the availability of QAD Automotive On Demand solution. In the high profile zone, VMware has moved up 2 spots and is now ranked 4th. The firm has announced another solid quarter of growth with third quarter earnings up 32% from last years third quarter. Novell has also moved up two positions this month thanks to analyst focus on its intent to buy Managed Objects. The firm is now ranked 8th this month.

The only new firm to enter the top 25 this month is Amdocs. It has gained 15 positions helped by its announcement to acquire ChangingWorlds for bolstering its existing Customer Experience Systems (CES).

Quest Software has shown the biggest decline of analyst focus this month and has dropped down 15 positions. The firm has announced its intention to buyback its shares and has also announced a roadmap to improve its Windows Management Solutions. IFS, which had entered the top 25 last month, is down 7 spots and is the only firm to drop out of the top 25 this month.
