Informatica shoots up in the Lighthouse Software Index

Lighthouse Software Index - September 2009The top performer in September is Informatica which shot up 11 positions to the 15th spot. The firm has teamed up with HP to offer new portfolio of integrated business intelligence solutions and also made it to the top 25 firms listed in the September edition of the Lighthouse Software Index.

Other new entrants to the top 25 are BEA and Amdocs. BEA has seen its ranking improve due to Oracle’s launch of its new middleware product “Fusion” which includes an enhanced and re-branded version of the BEA Weblogic application server. Salesforce.com is also up 2 positions as analysts focus on its ecosystem as a model for other SaaS providers.

The top losers for September are Sterling Commerce and Progress Systems. Both firms have dropped down by 8 positions. Sterling Commerce which had managed to get a place in the top 25 in August has dropped out of the list. NetSuite and mySQL are the other 2 firms to drop out of the top 25 in September.
