Video: Robin Schaffer on her career path in AR – and the AR Forum

Over on the Kea Company channel on YouTube there’s a recording of this great Coffee Talk session with Robin Schaffer. Robin’s a remarkable leader of the analyst relations community in the USA. In this coffee talk, Robin talks quite candidly with me about her route into analyst relations, her background in AR how that fits into the culture at NICE Systems.

Robin talks very openly about the biggest challenges in the activities of an AR professional, and what she thinks the big focus areas need to be for 2014.

She has been a key contributor to the annual Analyst Relations Forum, and in the call introduces the when, where, what of the Forum. She does a break-neck speed recap of her experience last year, highlighting all the good stuff, and also makes some pointed comments about what a perfect AR Forum could look like.

As members of the AR Forum’s group on LinkedIn will know, Robin’s also working with the IIAR on a series of local US networking meetings. Robin talks about the efforts to organize them wherever in the US there is both a critical mass of AR pros, and someone willing to organize, and has an interesting option about whether the AR Forum next year should be in the States or in Europe.
