techUK and Edinburgh Uni launch free Analyst Launchpad events

Building on a decade worth of Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) sponsored research carried out at the University of Edinburgh Business School (UEBS), the UEBS is joining forces with techUK to deliver a new service package to start-ups and SMEs. As the representative of 700 tech companies, techUK helps develop markets and relationships internationally. The new programme of events and training will equip companies with the know-how and the right tools to place their ventures on the radar of leading venture capital, tech buyer and industry analysis ecosystems, and grow internationally.

Analyst firms are becoming important influencers of the company’s sales and investment potential, particularly for start-up and SME segments. Pitching to analysts is quickly emerging as a critical practice in fiercely competitive tech markets where attention gets funnelled to some enterprises and away from others. In particular, it is a crucial step in the early life of a digital venture which aims to scale but still lacks credibility, and success on overcoming this hurdle can determine whether venture grows or not.

Analyst relations creates competitive gap

With barriers to digital innovation continuing to come down and competition between tech businesses increasing, enterprises that are connecting with analysts will continue to be boosted while those failing to do so will be put at a disadvantage, losing out on finding new customers, attracting further investment, and reaching international markets.

The University of Edinburgh Business School is proud to be partnering with techUK to upskill the businesses through a series of events and training courses on the analyst relations, endorsement economy and the second most important pitch! Join one of the upcoming events and training courses to take advantage of new ways to scale up and internationalise.
