The things to ponder over the weekend

I’ll be mulling over three things over the weekend, and would love to hear your comments.

  1. Someone’s just pointed out to me that just over half of JupiterKagan’s analysts have official blogs, including their senior people. Yankee Group, perhaps their most direct competitor, has no official blogs at all. Who is making a mistake here?
  2. The Vantello website is live at last. I am very interested to see how things work out for Aaron and pals: the basic business model is that it allows end-users to get the research that vendors have licensed from analysts and can pay Vantello to advertise. Will the analyst firms react?
  3. Jon Sun’s site, Mobile Analyst Watch, just gets better and better. Would he make more money by selling subscriptions than he goes from his Google adverts?

Have a great weekend! Look out for news on Monday of a trip Efrem Mallach is making to London and Frankfurt.
