Oracle freezes out Bloor Research

Bloor and Oracle seem to be in a war of words.

According to Bloor’s technology Research Director, Philip Howard, “Oracle doesn’t like my suggesting that it is under attack or, if it is, it’s only because it is the leading database vendor (in its eyes) and therefore a natural target. Indeed, it dislikes the suggestion so much that I am currently ‘persona non grata’ with the company, which I personally regard as the ultimate accolade for any analyst with pretensions to independence.”

This seems to be the end-product of some increasing tensions. Indeed “The Ultimate Accolade!”, a previous post on the topic to Bloor’s IT-director.com website, was removed almost instantly.
