Hayward leaves Ovum for IDC

Douglas Hayward, senior analyst on the Holway@Ovum service, has left the firm to join IDC.

Holway was one of Ovum’s most senior hires from the journalist community. Until 2003 he had worked on the Financial Times. During the dot.com boom, he edited the UK’s leading IT business magazine, Computing.

Hayward’s ability to write well, and on time, will be a useful asset in Marianne Kolding’s European Services Research Group. Research manager Lionel Lamy has strong technology expertise while Dougie, as some call him, had a deep knowledge of the UK business services space previously covered by Mike Friend, who we believe left IDC in October 2006.
