Bloor: firmly on the vendor’s side

Corigin, the data extraction and migration software vendors, recently selected Bloor Research as its major analyst partner, after evaluating ten other firms. “Working effectively with analysts enables vendors to reach all their target audiences” writes Bloor’s francophile Finance Director.

Bob McDowall explains that “Analysts provide two roles for a vendor. One is externally focused: This includes activities such as such as providing collateral, and speaking at events organised by the vendor. The other is internally focused: This takes the form of education and planning.” (The article is at IT-Director.com | The value and benefits of an analyst house) .

P.S. But remember that Bloor will still bite the hand that doesn’t feed it: see this.
