Carter says “Whoa, I think people are going a little overboard on the IIAR “Analyst of the Year” survey“. I think he has a point.
We commented here that the results are a useful measure of analysts relations managers perceptions of analyst firms. At the same time, one must think about what the results really mean. It does not claim to be a ranking of firms with the best research or the most accurate analysts. It’s a modest contribution towards helping AR professionals to compare and share their feelings about analysts, and should accepted for what it is.
