Getronics moves up in the Lighthouse Services Index

Lighthouse Services Index - May 2009Getronics, which has moved up 8 positions this month, is the biggest gainer this month in the Lighthouse Services Index. The firm is facing tough times and is planning to axe about 1400 jobs to remain competitive. Verisign which has announced a new Certificate Discovery Module has also moved up 5 positions this month.

TietoEnator which has announced a decline in its net profit for the  first quarter of 2009 has moved up 3 positions and is ranked 25th this month. TietoEnator, Getronics and Orange Business Services are the three firms to have entered the top 25 this month.

The biggest decline this month is in the rankings of Ernst & young and SAIC. Both the firms were the top gainers last month but have declined by 9 positions each this month. BearingPoint is also one of the top losers this month. The firm had declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this year and is now selling its business units to PwC and Deloitte. Convergys, winner of the “BPO Employer of the Year” award at the 2009 International ICT Awards, has also declined by 7 positions and is ranked 26th this month. Ernst & Young, BearingPoint, and Convergys are the three firms to drop out of the top 25 this month.
