CompuCom and PA Consulting move up in the Lighthouse Services Index

Lighthouse Services Index - November 2008CompuCom and PA Consulting are the biggest gainers this month as both firms have moved up 9 ranks. CompuCom which has gained analyst focus by unveiling its new Enterprise Solutions Center aimed at providing next-generation technology solutions is now ranked 37. The launch of the new DS2 initiative for reducing the time to market for for pharmaceutical and biotechnology firms has also helped PA Consulting move to the 46th spot this month.

Deloitte is the highest profile mover this month. Analyst coverage of its presentation at IDC’s “You, Me & Green IT Forum” has helped it gain 4 positions and it is now ranked 13th. Logica has also moved up 4 positions this month. The firm has been awarded a contract for monitoring and tracking logistical transport to the Olympic Park by improving security for deliveries and reducing congestion on the roads. KPMG, which has published an interesting international survey indicating a decrease in global fall in income taxes due to competition by governments, is the only firm to move into the top 25 this month.

The biggest loss of rank this month has been suffered by NextiraOne. The firm has failed to get a single mention in any research report by the major analyst houses (Gartner, IDC, Forrester) and has dropped 6 positions this month. Dimension Data is the firm that has dropped out of the top 25 this month. The firm has announced its intent to acquire the remaining 44.9% stake in its subsidiary Datacraft. However, this is not helped it to retain analyst focus and it is down 5 positions this month.
