Tibco has moved up 9 places this month to claim a spot back in the Lighthouse Software Index. Its announcement to acquire Insightful Corporation and the fact that it has been mentioned as a leader in Gartner’s B2B Gateway Providers Magic Quadrant has certainly helped it bounce back this month. Information Builders is the biggest gainer this month. It has moved up by a massive 30 positions and is now ranked at the 36th spot.
Sage has moved into the top 25 this month. The firm’s ACT! solution for customer management has been named as the winner of the Product of the Year Award by Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC). Salesforce, which has announced the availability of its SaaS applications as mobile applications for the iPhone has also moved up 2 places and is ranked at the 7th spot.
Websense (not shown on the graph above) has shown the biggest loss in the Lighthouse Software Index. The fact that the firm has been mentioned as a leader by Gartner in the Magic Quadrant for Content Monitoring and Filtering and Data Loss Prevention has not prevented the firm dropping 21 positions this month. Comverse which recently received the Convergence World Award 2008 by the International Engineering Consortium for “Most Significant Telco Transformation” has also dropped down 18 positions. The two firms that have dropped out of the top 25 this month are mySQL and Amdocs.
