In this month’s Telecoms Index, the top three places are occupied by Nokia, Ericsson and Motorola, which is a re-run of last month. Cisco has moved up one spot into fourth position and Verizon has increased its share of voice by two places to claim fifth spot. Lucent also deserves a mention as it has catapulted itself into twelfth position.
O2 managed to enter the top 25 this month as did Siemens Communications.
The MCI brand has fallen nine places this month and out of the top 25, reflecting its merger into Verizon. Jazztel is also down despite last month’s great effort. Other brands on the way down include mmO2 (the former holding company of O2, whose fall is less surprising than the degree to which analysts still mention it), Deutsche Telekom and Telekom Austria. No festive drinks for them.
