There are no new entrants in this months top 25 firms in the Software Index. Infor is the biggest gainer in this elite list by going up four positions. The firm has been marked as a niche player by Gartner in its Magic Quadrant for Customer Data-Mining Applications and has launched a new version of its PLM solution.

The biggest decline in the Lighthouse Software Index this month is in the ranking of Veritas. The company(not shown on the graph above) has dropped down 21 positions. The fall is hardly a surprise given the fact that it has been almost 3 years since Symantec acquired Veritas and the name is now hardly used except for historical references. Interwoven, which announced record second quarter financial results, has also fallen 13 positions and is now ranked at 46th spot.
