BT Global Services moves up in the Lighthouse Services Index

The biggest gainer in this month’s Services Index is Softtek which shot up 12 positions and is now ranked at the 42nd. The firm which, claims to be the biggest private IT service provider in Latin America, has been awarded the SAP PartnerEdge Quarterly Performance Award.

In the high profile zone of the top 25 firms, the most prominent gainer in this month’s Services Index is BT Global Services. BT has recently announced providing the ten-thousandth service connection for Thomson Reuters which reflects the scale and quality of its service delivery.

BT will be outsourcing some of its managed IT services. This reflects a new approach for BT where it is focusing on core operations for key clients and away from routine IT services. ACS, which has been listed in the top 20 companies for the training outsourcing industry by TrainingOutsourcing.com, has also moved up 4 positions. The firm has announced a new facility in Jamaica to showcase its growing global capabilities and announced a number of high profile outsourcing contracts in the US.

Among the firms that dipped down this month, the biggest drops are seen in the rankings for Bain and NextiraOne as both have dropped down 7 positions. Getronics, which sold its Business Applications Services Unit to Capegemini has also gone down 6 positions.
