The highest profile gainer this month is 3Com which has gone up 10 positions this month and has entered the top 25. The firm has beaten profit forecasts for a third consecutive quarter and looks set to expand its market share in Asian markets. Ciena which announced an expansion of its Carrier Ethernet Service Delivery (CESD) portfolio to help service providers improve their offerings is also up 10 positions this month. Foundry Networks which was ranked 53 last month is also up 10 positions this month.
ZTE which has moved up 5 positions this month has also entered the top 25. The firm has recently launched its first touch screen mobile handset and has also gained analyst focus for its launch of the world’s first SDR-based HSPA+ All IP commercial network.
O2 which received two awards for its outstanding sales efforts has slid down the analyst index by 4 positions. The firm is now ranked 29 this month and along with France Telecom has dropped out of the top 25. BT which has been awarded data communications and fixed telephony contract by the Spanish Ministry of Public Administration for the second time, has also failed to maintain its ranking and has dropped down 4 positions this month.
