Unisys & Convergys gain in the Lighthouse Services Index

Lighthouse Services Index - June 2009The high profile gainer this month is Unisys which has moved up 2 positions to the 5th spot. The firm has announced a new outsourcing agreement with Hertz as well as a new offering to help reduce support costs for its clients. The biggest gain is in the score of NextiraOne which has moved up 8 positions this month. The firm is now ranked 45th in the Lighthouse Services Index.

The top 25 list has quite a few changes this month with Convergys (a strong riser), BearingPoint, Lockheed Martin and Patni being the new entrants. The most high profile entrant is Convergys which has been ranked 6th in the 2009 Global Outsourcing 100 List. The improvement in its score this month has helped it move up 7 positions and it is now ranked 19th.

BearingPoint has recovered partially from the steep drop last month and is up 5 positions. It has completed the sale of its North American Public Services business to Deloitte in its drive to become a leaner and more profitable venture. Patni, which has opened its new EMEA headquarters to drive sales, is also up 5 positions this month and is now ranked 25th.

Orange Business Services is the top loser this month. The firm has announced affordable Microsoft Mail data bundles for UK businesses but has dropped down 10 positions and are now out of the top 25. Verisign, TietoEnator and KPMG are the other firms to drop out of the top 25 this month.
