We’re adding our voice to those, including the IIAR and Tekrati, who want to encourage readers in California to take advantage of a rare public appearance by Gideon Gartner.
The Computer History Museum is hosting Gideon Gartner, in conversation with Neill Brownstein. The Museum promises “an evening of candid and personal insights on the rise of IT industry analysts.” As the founder of two respected and powerful analyst firms, Gideon will share powerful insights into our industry’s early days — founding Gartner and GIGA; and facing up to innovations and challenges.
The free event will be on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 between 6:30 and 8 pm. Afterwards, members and invited guests can attend a reception until 9 pm. To find out more, please visit computerhistory.org. The address is 1401 N. Shoreline Boulevard, Mountain View, CA 94043. A US$10 donation is suggested, at the door.
It’s important to know how many people might attend so please email Bob Stetson <stetson at computerhistory dot org> if you can make it.
We will alert readers when the video of the event is available through the Museum and YouTube.
