Logitech goes up in the Lighthouse Systems Index

Lighthouse Systems Index - February 2009Logitech is the largest gainer this month jumping up 6 positions. The firm which holds the distinction of making a billion mice has won seven CES innovation awards and is now ranked 40th on the Lighthouse Systems Index. Asus which won three CES awards has moved up 4 positions and is now ranked 18th. LG just announced its ambitious plans to become one of the top two flat panel display makers in the world. It has moved up 4 positions and is now ranked 14th this month. The highest profile mover is EMC which has delivered robust financial results. The company has announced its first ever $4 billion-plus quarter and has also announced and extension of its alliance with software giant Microsoft.

The biggest loss in ranking this month has been suffered by Xerox which has declined 5 positions. The firm claims to have won 230 awards in 2008 and is sure to bounce back in the coming months. At the top of the table is Sun Microsystems which has unveiled a new line of energy efficient datacenter, has slipped to the 7th spot this month.
