Extreme Networks is the biggest gainer this month in the Lighthouse Telecoms Index. The firm which showcased its state of the art switch network at CeBit has certainly managed to gain analyst attention and has moved up 9 spots. TeliaSonera, which has made headlines for undertaking one the largest infrastructure projects in the company’s history, has also jumped up 8 positions and is now ranked at the 29th spot. The company has also announced great financial results and is undertaking trials with 3G Femto base stations to offer more advanced mobile services.
Research in Motion, which has been ranked as the second most innovative mobile phone maker after Nokia, has gained 5 positions. The firm which dropped out of the list of top 25 firms in the Lighthouse Telecoms Index last month is now back in the list at the 22nd spot.
MCI, which is now a part of Verizon, has lost 8 positions and appears to be drifting down as it continues to lose its individual brand identity. Telefonica is the only firm that has dropped out of the top 25 this month.
